The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business seeks a Faculty Affairs Coordinator to join its team. The Faculty Affairs Coordinator position is an integral part of the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs staff and assists in day-to-day services supporting the faculty employee life cycle for the Marshall School’s entire faculty population; coordinates and initiates processes for administrative and human resources-related tasks and partners with and assists senior administrators and School staff. The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is agile, has outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, and pays attention to detail. Time management skills are essential, and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
This role reports to the Senior Associate Director, Faculty, and Academic Affairs and works closely with senior administrators at various levels within the school and University community, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
The following are cross-functional responsibilities and projects associated with the Faculty Affairs Coordinator role:
- Faculty Recruitment
- Hiring and rehiring of part-time/adjunct faculty
- Coordinating faculty-related special events
- Supporting the faculty promotion and tenure process
- Knowledge of the faculty leaves and sabbaticals process
- Understanding of University policies and guidelines that govern the faculty life cycle
- Processing faculty administrative appointments
- Coordinating schedules and meetings for Marshall faculty committees
- Named Chair/Professorships
- Support the faculty annual performance review and salary proposal submission process
- Knowledge of the faculty phased retirements, modified workloads and emeriti process
- Maintains faculty records and input data for all full-time and part-time faculty, utilizing the University’s archival document systems for reporting-Laserfiche.
- Experience with using Salesforce, Workday, Concur and the University’s faculty application system interface.
- Administrative support to senior administrators

- Experienced in Microsoft Office.

Anticipated Hiring Range:
The hourly rate range for this position is $36.68 - $52.49. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
