We are looking for a Product Manager - Marketing Data (m/f/d) to be based either in Berlin, Heidelberg or London. This role enables Springer Nature’s strategy to build global, subject-based collections within specific disciplines, particularly in our fully Open Access portfolio to publish high-value research in emerging scientific areas.
Working closely with the wider Marketing and technology teams, the role will enable tailored marketing communications to communicate relevant updates and recommendations to the scientific community, based on accurate and timely available data. You will have end-to-end ownership and will be the key go-to person for data-related projects.
Responsibilities
Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy on how to capture and leverage data for Collections Marketing, aligned with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
Engage with stakeholders, including business teams, technology teams, publishing, and operation teams, to understand their needs, prioritize requirements, and manage expectations. Act as a liaison between different groups and facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Lead and manage data-related projects, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines and budgets. Drive alignment across teams, manage dependencies, and track progress to ensure successful outcomes.
Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, privacy standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with analytics teams to identify opportunities for leveraging Open Access Collections Marketing Data to derive actionable insights, measure success and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and enable timely delivery by creating, owning, and refining user stories and artifacts that describe and detail new features and articulate their business value.
Proactively drive the continuous improvement of marketing processes together with the marketing technology teams
Requirements
Proven experience as a Product or Project Manager or similar role, preferably in data-driven products or Marketing Technology (MarTech)
Sound understanding of data management principles, including data access, quality, governance, and privacy
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving data-driven decision making
Knowledge in the field of Marketing and respective data and processes
Experience working in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and dynamic environment
Attention to detail
Comfortably working in hybrid set-ups
