Excelling in quality, innovation, and impact, UCLA Extension (UNEX) is one of the top providers of continuing and professional education in the United States, offering programs and classes to more than 50,000 students per year through approximately 4,500 classes and certificate programs to meet the professional development, continuing education, and personal enrichment needs of the full spectrum of traditional, nontraditional, domestic, international, professional, and continuing education students throughout and beyond Los Angeles.
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Program Representative II (PRII), implements a variety of program area courses including evening and online and certificate programs.
The PRII will join a dedicated and creative team of academic leaders and support staff in the Department of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (EHSS) which is committed to social justice and providing unique academic and career opportunities to non-traditional and under-served student populations. The role will serve in the College Counseling & Access division that provides programs designed for middle & secondary school counselors, teachers, and career counselors who want to develop their professional competencies in college and career advising. The PRII is expected to become an active and engaged member of the division and EHSS as a whole.
The PRII is responsible for programming courses in UCLA Extension Enrollment Management System, quality controlling the website, and overseeing courses syllabi/modules' quality in Learning Management System (LMS). Duties may include program implementation, instructor relationship management, and monitoring academic quality of the courses. Additional responsibilities include compiling new certificate proposals, advising current and prospective students, compiling instructor and course approval documents, assisting program manager and director in performing market research on potential new programs, in contacting advisory board members, and coordinating advisory board meetings, and other duties as assigned.
