Cafe on the Severn is the cafe situated within The Gateway Education and Arts Centre, with beautiful views of the river. We predominately serve the customers who use the centre but we also have walk ins and have a little outside play area.
We are on the look out for a cook who is confident with serving simple but tasty lunches, in a sometimes busy service. The role includes prepping daily for our sister cafe and making sure they have everything they need, ensuring customers receive a high standard of service, keeping the kitchen area clean and following food hygiene standards.
You will need to be able to make good quality, delicious soups, quiches etc and baking skills would be amazing but not essential.
The kitchen is open plan and you will sometimes be working alone (first or last thing during the day) so you must be friendly, bubbly and be happy to jump out front and see to a customer.
