Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as the Country Lead. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of luxury retail operations in Thailand. As the Country Lead, you will work in partnership with regional team and oversee multiple functions including HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and more. Your exceptional leadership skills, commercial acumen, and strong networking abilities will be key to building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, driving sales, and ensuring operational excellence in a dynamic luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive country-level strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives. Lead the team to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance brand presence.
- Cross-Functional Management: Oversee various departments including HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, and others. Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of efforts towards common goals.
- Sales and Marketing: Drive sales growth through effective marketing strategies, product positioning, and customer engagement. Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, partners, government authorities, and local communities. Ensure clear communication and alignment on business objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Implement efficient operational processes to optimize resource utilization, inventory management, and cost control. Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation.
- People Management: Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages professional development and enhances employee engagement.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and P&L performance. Ensure financial targets are met and appropriate cost-saving measures are implemented without compromising quality.
- Networking and Collaboration: Develop a strong network within the luxury retail industry, staying updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to drive informed business decisions.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to all local regulations, laws, and industry standards. Implement ethical business practices and maintain the highest level of integrity.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of successful leadership roles within the luxury retail, luxury goods, or fashion retail sectors.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain.
- Exceptional commercial mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and data.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performance teams.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and cultural nuances in Thailand.
