Introduction
Are you studying communication, community management, or a related field? Do you have an affinity for building communities and would like to know how this works within ASML? Then this internship is interesting for you!
Background Information
Within the department of Industrialization in the Mechanical Development cluster we do the assessments and advice on serviceability and manufacturability inside ASML for mechanical hardware, for all ASML machine types. At the moment, our department contains several architects specialized in industrialization, but this role is relatively new. There are more comparable industrial architects in ASML spread out across Development & Engineering (D&E) but these do not report to the same managers, which is why we think a knowledge sharing community is needed.
As a group lead of the main group of architects (and more) I'm focusing on getting a community kickstarted while not in charge of most of the possible members, though when meeting up with other managers, we all agree that something should be organized. The current investigation shows the size of the community to be around 100 people.
Your Assignment
The overall goal is to kick start a community of industrial architects using an investigation of needs, a digital landing spot/knowledge sharing space, and, at minimal, one event.
- Step 1: An assessment of the needs in the community. Contact info etc. is available, and also a survey after the first trial event has been done. The goal would be to find out what people would like to see in a next event and what would engage them.
- Step 2: Organize the event and make connections with people who can provide the required content for the event. This is supported by management so we can ask people to make time for this.
- Step 3: Evaluate the event and assess how to make the community itself sustainable in moving forward. This can also be done already in parallel while investigating for example the community needs.
Your Profile
To be the perfect match for this internship you:
- Are a Bachelor student studying communication, event management, community management, or a related field;
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Sharepoint is a pre;
- Have good communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
- Are someone not afraid to chase after people and motivate them to join in organizing these events.
This is a Bachelor apprentice or graduation internship lasting 3 to 6 months for 2-5 per week, starting in 2024.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
