JOB TITLE:
Brownfield Project Engineer.CONTEXT:
The company will start the construction of a new CCGT (thermal power station) based on a turnkey EPC approach, with a total budget of more than € 500 M.
The team working for the project is part of the Generation (production) department and directly report to their Head of Generation (ComEx member).
MISSION:
The Brownfield Project Engineer manages development, engineering and construction projects for power generation assets.
Specifically in charge of managing projects (Work Packages) integrated into the development and the construction of the global CCGT newbuild project.
Responsible for following the planning of the Work Packages.
Ensuring the relationship with industrial suppliers as part of his/her mission (French/English).
KPI's:
Turnover in scope: € 2 M.
Autonomy to take decisions in the following areas: Technical/contractual coordination of dedicated work packages involved in the brownfield activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN 1-3 YEARS:
No deviation to HSE requirements.
Coordinate and execute brownfield works at the interface with the EPC contract.
Avoid any impact on quality, schedule and budget via a good anticipation.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY CHALLENGES:
- General:
- Technically analyze existing situation/configuration, write technical specification to describe workpackages' scope of works and issue request for quotation to potential suppliers.
- Perform and/or monitor the engineering of workpackages, propose technical solutions and implement them.
- Collaborate with other departments (Production, Purchasing, HSE, etc.) to deliver the workpackages.
- Actively communicate with Engineering Department to coordinate engineering related to the projects under his/her responsibility.
- Coordinate and take part to engineering/contractual/commercial discussions and review technical/contractual documents.
- Execute controls and tests during site construction and commissioning on the Brownfield scope.
- Implement Quality Control and documentation archive for activities related to Brownfield activities and interfaces with support of Quality Control Officer.
- HSE:
- The BrownField Project Engineer will support Project Team in fostering a pro-active Health and Safety culture and with its subcontractors with an eye toward compliance with legal and contractual HSE requirements.
- Contract Management:
- Act as company compliance and ethics advisor together with purchasing departmnent and keep records of compliance documentation; Interface with the shareholders to ensure compliance is ensured.
Claims and Risk Management: Analyze co-activities and requests for contractual/technical variations related to interfaces raised by brownfield contractors and provide recommendations or solutions to the BrownField Manager.

- At least 5 years experience.
- Experience in infrastructure projects, involving site works (and ideally procurement).
- Experience in Electrical power plant project is a plus.
- Languages:
- French – Fluent;
- English – Fluent;
- Dutch – Intermediate.
