We have an opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for purchase and sales Ledger functions, together with weekly and monthly Payroll processing.
The candidate should have a passion for accounts, with a keen eye and attention to detail, together with a full understanding of end-to-end business finance processes.
They should be Accounting Technician trained, or qualified by experience, and must have a thorough working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting and Sage Payroll Systems.
Responsibilities
Purchase ledger
- Inputting of invoices and credits and obtaining appropriate authorisation.
- Reconciliation of Supplier statements
- Preparation of Monthly supplier suggested payment runs and distribution of remittances.
- Query Resolution both internal and external stakeholders.
Sales ledger
- Inputting of Invoices and Credits.
- Credit control / debt collection – monitoring and chasing of accounts due, and escalation of aged debt.
- Assisting with customer queries and liaising with relevant departments to reconcile. Monthly statement distribution to clients.
Other
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciling company credit card statements.
- Assisting with month end procedures including preparation of accounts.
- Assisting with period end VAT and statutory reporting obligations
- Sage Payroll
- Preparation of PAYE returns
Flexible Hours – Hybrid work .
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: €18.00-€21.00 per hour
