You'll lead our long term care, assisted living and independent living operations at one of our Mill Creek community in Kelowna, equipping our team to help our residents experience life well. You'll create a resident experience that ensures our residents safety and security, while cultivating their health, social connection, and purpose. You'll have an influential role in the organization where your opinion and actions will matter. You'll lead 150 team members in the community, steward the operational budget while managing our resources, services, administrative and clinical functions. You'll provide a high level of service to your stakeholders while working independently and collaboratively in teams. Your position will be full-time (37.5 hours per week), and you will report to the Director of Operations.
Requirements
You're the heart and soul of the community you lead. Your positive 'can do' attitude is infectious, and you're known as a great listener with a compassionate heart. Servant Leadership comes naturally to you as you don't mind rolling up your sleeves to "jump in" when the situation calls for it. Over the years, your experience in health care has developed your resiliency and enables you to take on new challenges. You're a great communicator, known for your warm and calm demeanour, even when the conversation is difficult. The door to your office is usually found open, and you're seen making the rounds with residents and team. You enjoy solving problems and manage your priorities with ease. Your sense of humour and fun-loving nature shine through in your daily work and interactions with team, residents, and families. You understand "the why" of what you do. Ideally you have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in business administration, social sciences, or health care administration. You'll come with at least five years' leadership experience within long term seniors care, independent living, hospitality, or service setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
