The position
As Program Director in API IT and Future Operations, you will be heading up the digital transformation program preparing, developing and implementing remote operations between our production sites. A strategically important program with cross-organisational impact working to digitalise, automate, and optimise production processes in and across our API production sites in both Denmark and USA.

As Program Director you will be part of driving the translation of the strategic ambition towards remote operation into operational solutions and plans and responsible for driving these through together with colleagues on the production sites. You will be taking ownership for finding ground-breaking solutions by interacting with a broad range of stakeholders across the organisation from internal skilled Novo Nordisk colleagues, external vendors and students from relevant academia to tap into the forefront of the new innovations. You will pro-actively define and drive the overall program and deliverables while leading and engaging the project team members. On a personal level, you love to operate in an international environment, and your “can-do” approach and result-oriented attitude enable you to take charge and ensuring engagement and commitment to drive solutions from idea to implementation.

This is a newly established position, which offers the responsibility of building and developing the program to fit the ongoing and dynamic productions in operation and the needs of the future!


Qualifications
To succeed in this role, the perfect candidate has:

  • Extensive experience with large-scale project and program management
  • Experience in pharma production processes and implementing automation, robots and digital solutions in pharma production environments
  • Experience of working cross-functionally and building relations with stakeholders at all organisational levels in addition to excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and ability to communicate complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner
  • An innovative mindset and the expert ability to work at both a tactical & strategic level

About the department
The position as Program Director in API IT and Future Operations is placed in the Business Support area at our API site in Kalundborg which is part of our global production division; Product Supply. The department that you will join currently consist of approx. 45 highly engaged and highly motivated colleagues with competencies covering both IT, automation and the forefront of technology and production.
The API Business Support area consists of about 150 highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose to support our production and implementation of Novo Nordisk strategies within API. At the site Kalundborg, we produce diabetes and obesity products 24/7 distributed to patients worldwide.
