JobDescription
Therole will focus on growing and developing the NGS (clinical diagnostics andresearch) market with Ion Torrent NGS platforms. It will involve maintainingexisting relationships with key opinion leaders and developing newrelationships as we expand our menu and application. The portfolio will coverall NGS applications, including Oncology, Immunology, Microbiology, Genetics,and other in the future. The role is remote based and covers Switzerland.

Thisrole requires a dynamic and tenacious individual with a proven track record insales and a deep technical understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)and the Diagnostics Market.
Whatwill you do?
  • Identifysales opportunities primarily within research institutions, hospitals, biotechand clinical diagnostics groups and manage the complete sales process tocompletion
  • Developand execute business plans for targeted accounts. Complete a territory businessanalysis for management quarterly review.
  • Maintainconsistent and structured communication with counterparts and articulatesummarized communication to Manager on a periodic basis
  • Integratesuccessfully into team selling environment by partnering sales efforts withother Life colleagues
  • Partnerwith marketing department to support the development and execution of marketingprograms and sales materials
  • Obtainsuccessful adoption of the technology within all applied markets whileinvestigating the potential of other applications and solutions in theresearch, pre-clinical and clinical space
  • Identifythe full base of possible target customers by direct marketing and researchincluding exploring additional applied markets
  • Manageand maintain key relationships with collaborating partners
  • Maintainand develop the CRM database, provide regular sales reports and forecasts
Howwill you get here?
  • Graduatequalification in an appropriate science subject, molecular biology preferred
  • Severalyears sales experience in research / healthcare/diagnostics/clinical market
  • Aproven track record of working with diagnostics solution-based products inthose markets
  • Commercialacumen and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value for moneyexercise
  • Computerliteracy, especially with regard to modern user interfaces, document andpresentation preparation and report writing
  • Excellentcommunication skills, written and spoken-fluent English, French and Germanlanguage skills
  • Experiencewith Molecular Biology, Next Generation Sequencing or Oncology preferred
Knowledge,Skills, Abilities:
  • Goodmarket intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors
  • Abilityto sell in a consultative manner such that customer need is discovered andaddressed in an individualized clinical and data driven manner
  • Abilityto understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensivecomplex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
  • Familiaritywith clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed carepolicies and procedures
