You will travel extensively throughout Arnhem Land to deliver training and assessment to employees from non-English speaking backgrounds.

About the role:

Travelling Workplace Trainer- Community Services

This position is based in Darwin, but frequent travel to remote Aboriginal communities is essential.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite and online workplace training adhering to ALPA quality standards
  • Undertake language, literacy, and numeracy assessments
  • Mentor, coach, and guide students in person or online
  • Maintain electronic student management records
  • Provide administration support as required by the Training Team Leader
  • Assist workplace coaches to deliver quality industry training
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in a remote community service setting
  • Certificate III in Community Services or higher or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous experience in delivering a broad range of training programs
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs people from all education levels and language abilities
Desirable:
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people in a remote environment
  • Experience using an electronic student management system
