Somatex, a Hologic company, is looking for an experienced Logistics and Quality professional to join our Operations team on a permanent basis in Berlin.
The purpose of this role is to monitor the successful day-to-day execution of logistics activities across the EMEA region, whilst acting as the point of contact for all logistics-related matters including quality inspection for incoming goods. Creation of analytical assessments of logistics volumes, cost, and performance, which will be used for regular reviews, including the regional Monthly Ops Report, as well as the resolution of issues arising from freight invoices payable by the EMEA team.
What To Expect:
Operational
- Proactive track & trace of key logistics lanes / destinations; shipping, receiving, and handling.
- Quality assurance/quality control; ability to use measuring equipment.
- Close communication and coordination with the QM department regarding defective goods, RAN numbers and handling complaints and labels.
- Merchandise management, acceptance of the delivered goods, checking the delivery for completeness, checking the delivered goods for defects and documentation of delivery.
- Manage export/export compliance within and outside of Europe.
- Support documentation of business process and updating SOPs.
Analytics / Reporting
- Perform regular analysis of logistics data for the EMEA Freight Manager
- Create accurate and detailed volume, spend and performances analyses for the EMEA business (KPIs)
- Create the required freight input to the regional Monthly Ops Report
- Act as the Point of Contact for Hologic’s Freight Bill Audit & Payment (FBA&P) supplier for day-to-day queries
- Investigation and resolution of freight invoice queries that can’t be resolved between the FBA&P supplier and the carrier concerned.
What We Expect:
- Proven experience in forwarding, working in/with logistics companies, and their base operations.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear reports.
- Strong MS office capabilities, specifically excel.
- Good general knowledge of the logistics industry, including incoterms.
