Position: Manufacturing Production Labourer
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor - Production
About the Opportunity
Currently, Kruger Products is looking for energetic candidates that have an ability to learn quickly and who thrive in fast-paced environments that would like to grow with our company as machine operators in our Scarborough, Ontario location.
- Operate entry-level converting units by following running instructions; mainly consisting of handling and packaging production from machines
- Pack and palletize product according to specification
- Produce product with an emphasis on quality; completing all assigned quality checks and taking special care when bagging napkins
- Keep the work area clean and deposit broke baskets at the baler operator’s station when full and at the end of each shift
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
- Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
- Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow the production schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS/27 KG
- Demonstrated listening and communication skills
- Strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Must be available to work continental shift (12 hour rotating shift)
Compensation:
Fully trained rates from $18.50 per hour plus a competitive benefits package and pension plan
