1. Provide lunch assistance to children, monitor students' behavior during lunch. Assist in cleaning up after each lunch period 2. Supervise students during meal service including when they are in line, eating, clearing, or waiting to leave the cafeteria3.
Ensure that students behave properly when eating or waiting in line4. Maintain general discipline in the cafeteria by ensuring that every student is seated properly at his or her designated place5. Assist students with clearing tables, trays, and handling seating arrangements6. Notify the office if cafeteria furniture is not in good repair and is not safe to use7.
Assist cafeteria staff/maintenance staff in cleaning up spills8. Make sure that the cafeteria is a safe environment for students by handling maintenance and cleanliness needs properly9. Intervene in fights or arguments between students and make sure that no one is physically hurt10. Report any unruly behavior to school administration11.
Inform supervisor of any damage to school property12. Circulate through the cafeteria to ensure supervision of all students with the area13. Assist in dismissing students from the lunchroom in an orderly fashion when lunchtime ends14. Respond to emergency situations such as injuries or food allergies in a proactive manner15.
Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality16. Adhere to the appropriate code of ethics17. Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the Principal
