Description
Job Purpose
Intelligent Network Operations Team member main task is to ensure smooth operations of the Charging nodes and Payments nodes.
The Job holder will be responsible to maintain/monitor the charging system and IN nodes and ensure availability 99.999% of the vital systems.
Report To Position Name
- Intelligent Network Operations Team member main task is to ensure smooth operations of the Charging nodes/Payments nodes (Telepin & Etisalat Cash) .The Job holder will be responsible to maintain/monitor the charging system and IN nodes and ensure availability 99.999% of the vital systems.
- Investigate escalations of major/critical cases and take the most appropriate actions.
- Ensure that health checks to the Intelligent Network nodes and Payments nodes (Telepin & Etisalat Cash) working fine and properly and guide team juniors for new HC.
- Create and update reports and event tracking of the major issues to present to the management
- Study the vendor documentations and Etisalat’s products descriptions, in order to guarantee acquiring comprehensive and adequate knowledge.
- Distribute workload (mails/problems/tasks) to junior team members and ensure no violation.
- New comers coaching and on job trainings and knowledge transfer plan.
- Create documents to build up knowledge base to be guide for the new comers to handle work and operations smoothly.
- Be a reference for the juniors.
- Meeting with other teams to discuss issues and root cause analysis.
- Handling periodically meeting with vendors to discuss open cases and way forward.
- Handling commercial teams requests.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of IN nodes (charging system) & payments nodes (telepin/ etisalat cash)
- Good Knowledge about communications concepts (Transmission Signaling protocols specially
- SS7 protocol …etc )
- Good knowledge about Intelligent Networks and Core Networks
- Good Knowledge about Networks (IP networks GSM Networks .. )
- Excellent Knowledge about Operating systems (UNIX LINUX …. )
- Excellent knowledge about SQL fundamentals.
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
- Investigate escalations of critical and major alarms to facilitate taking the most appropriate actions according to the cases.
- solving customer trouble tickets in the agreed SLA
- Initiate meeting with concerned teams to define and solve root causes.
Innovation:
- Develop new and customized tools that support business requirements, in order to reduce the health checks processes timeframes and increase efficiency.

- 5 to 7 years’ experience on charging systems/payments systems, or related telecom experience

- Operating Systems Courses ( UNIX LINUX …etc )
- Database Administrations ( Oracle TimesTen Sysbase ….etc)
- Unix Admin is plus
- SQL fundamentals is plus
- ITIL foundation.
